Announcing the PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR 2020
PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue

Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.

Each year, Pantone selects a Color of the Year inspired by trend in home, travel, culture, and fashion. Pantone unveiled the Color of the Year recently as Classic Blue. Pantone describes Classic Blue as a timeless hue that “highlights our desires for a dependable and stable foundation from which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.” A color in home-décor that holds the potential to “inject creative confidence into interiors,” and can be “easily applied across so many different materials, textures, and finishes.”

So whether you’re looking to sell your home here at North Shore Towers, or give it a mini-makeover, here are some ways you can incorporate Pantone’s Color of the Year into your home:

1 .   Use blue accents to add a pop of color.
The Pantone Color of the Year makes it easy to incorporate splashes of blue into your space without feeling over-saturated. Simply choose blue pieces and space them strategically throughout your home as it pairs with many other colors.
Some suggestions include accents rugs, end tables, decorative vases or bowls, paintings, flowers (real or faux) and accent pillows.

And you don’t have to stop there! If working with a bathroom, experiment with decorative soaps, hand towel, or shower curtains.

2. Experiment with color and lighting.
Lighting is just as important when it comes to creating an atmosphere. For example, blue lamps shades can lend a soothing color tone to your bathroom or living room, perfect for relaxing.

3. Give new life to old products.
Not only are consumers making eco-friendly choices these days, but they want to feel at peace with what they spend their money on. That's why it's preferred to recycle items and make them like-new rather than spending more to "keep up with the joneses." Re-purposing old decorations and pieces of furniture can be a chic and cost effective way to spruce up your space with new looks for less. A fresh blue coat of paint could transform that unwanted old chair or dresser into your new favorite piece!
